WHAT TO DO IN CASE OF A DENTAL EMERGENCY BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT

Tip #1:
Acute Dental Pain
To do: Apply a cold compress to the outside of the cheek to reduce inflammation and pain.
What not to do: Avoid putting aspirin directly on the tooth or gum, this could cause burns.

Broken or Fractured Teeth
To do: Gently rinse your mouth with lukewarm water. Keep the pieces of teeth in a container of saliva.
What not to do: Do not try to repair the tooth with glue or any other product not intended for this purpose.

Tip #3:
Avulsed tooth (expelled from its socket)
To do: Handle the tooth by the crown, not the root. If possible, gently reposition it. Otherwise, keep it in saliva.
What not to do: Do not let the tooth dry out and do not clean it with soap or chemicals.

Bleeding Gums
To do: Apply gentle pressure with a clean compress to the bleeding area. If the bleeding persists, seek medical help promptly.
What not to do: Do not ignore heavy bleeding or bleeding that does not stop quickly.

To do: An abscess is a serious infection that requires immediate attention. Rinse with salt water to relieve pain.
