Dental Veneers:
Price, Installation and Conditions

Definition of dental veneers

Dental veneers are thin shells made of ceramic or composite material designed to cover the visible surface of teeth. Their main purpose is to improve the aesthetics of the smile by correcting imperfections such as discoloration, irregularities in shape, or misalignment.

Thanks to their natural finish and custom fit, veneers allow you to achieve a harmonious and radiant smile, while preserving the existing dental structure as much as possible.

Indications for the placement of veneers

Dental veneers are recommended to correct a wide range of dental imperfections. They are an ideal solution for masking stained or discolored teeth, particularly in cases of fluorosis or enamel hypomineralization.

They also allow for the restoration of worn, cracked, or slightly misaligned teeth, thus avoiding more extensive orthodontic treatments. For patients with dental erosion, veneers offer an effective alternative by restoring volume and a uniform color to the affected teeth.

Types of dental veneers

There are several types of veneers, adapted to the specific needs of each patient:

Ceramic veneers: Known for their impeccable aesthetics and stain resistance, they offer a very natural look and increased durability, lasting up to 15 years.
Composite veneers: A more affordable alternative that can improve the appearance of your smile in a single session. While less durable than ceramic veneers, they are easy to repair and offer a good price-to-performance ratio.
Dental jackets: These restorations cover a larger portion of the tooth and are indicated for cases requiring structural reinforcement in addition to aesthetic improvement.

Each type of veneer is designed to meet the aesthetic and functional needs of the patient, guaranteeing a bright and harmonious smile.

Installation procedure

The application of dental veneers follows a precise procedure to guarantee a natural and lasting result. It all begins with a personalized diagnosis and analysis of the smile, allowing the feasibility of the treatment to be assessed.

Next, impressions are taken to design custom veneers adapted to the patient's dental morphology. If necessary, tooth preparation is carried out, involving slight enamel reduction to ensure perfect adhesion.

Finally, the veneers are placed and permanently fixed using a high-quality bonding resin, ensuring optimal aesthetic results and excellent durability.

Advantages of dental veneers

Choosing dental veneers allows for a quick and lasting transformation of your smile. Unlike crowns, this treatment is minimally invasive, preserving as much of the natural tooth structure as possible while effectively correcting aesthetic imperfections.

Veneers offer an immediate improvement in dental appearance, providing a bright and harmonious smile in record time.

Simulation and testing of facets

Dental Veneer Simulation

Before proceeding with the final installation, we offer you the opportunity to visualize your future smile through a Digital Smile Design (DSD) simulation or a temporary mock-up.

These techniques allow you to test the shape and shade of the veneers directly in your mouth, without obligation. This allows you to approve the final result and make adjustments in collaboration with our specialist.

This personalized approach guarantees a natural and harmonious result, perfectly in line with your face and your expectations.

Reimbursement and insurance

Dental veneers are considered an aesthetic treatment and are therefore not covered by basic health insurance (Lamal).

However, in cases of medical necessity, such as dental reconstruction after an accident, some supplementary insurance policies may cover part of the costs.

We recommend that you contact your insurer to find out about the specific reimbursement conditions.

Maintenance and durability

To ensure the longevity of your veneers, rigorous maintenance is essential. Good oral hygiene and regular checkups with your dentist help prevent plaque buildup and preserve the radiance of your smile.

In case of bruxism (teeth grinding), we recommend the use of a protective mouthguard to avoid excessive pressure on your veneers and ensure their durability.

With proper care, your veneers can remain intact for more than 10 years.
